Fakes???

  1. Hey I'm new to the site (not new to G's). I received my first two while I was in the military (issued G-Shocks ... nice!) Anyways ... I have been searching all over the net for G's and it raised a few ?s. How do you know if someone is selling real Gs. I found a store ... I'll see if I can find it again ... selling the new Rescue G in White for $89 ... and the tan/white Mudman for just over $50. Really? I have a hard time believing that! If its too good to be true ,,, it usually is right? And as a public service message: watch for a website called "Deal Sniper" ... while they offer outrageous prices (the new rescue/gundam 7900s for $79) there are numerous complaints I have read about that site selling junk. Beware:)

Lastly I have the new 7900 in white. I'm having a helluva time keeping it clean ... some of the edges seem to very easily take on a ... well girls foundation color ... I'm extremely neurotic about keeping it clean (magic erasers have worked well) but has anyone else had this problem?

You do have to be careful buying G-Shocks online. Lots of the discount sites might be selling real ones, but they might offer really poor customer service, sell returned watches or simply not have any in stock.

It's usually worth it to pay a few bucks more to buy from a known good seller. Amazon.com is about the best choice overall if they have the G-Shock you want. There prices can be really good, but they tend to change a lot.

If I have to buy my G on the internet, I only use e-bay top rated sellers. You can be sure those Shocks are real

No man I have gotten Fakes on amazon.com and ebay.com nowhere is safe unless you can call a phone number and talk to a human. Call Casio Sales and Service 877.659.0761 you can talk to human and they have good deals. They hook up shipping sometimes on most of my Casio watches
