    Hi riley,
    Just new to the forum.
I am looking for a g-shock for myself and i am torn between G9000-1V and G9000-3V and the MILITARY SERIES (3v). Are you able to give me some pros and cons on each watch to make my decision easier?

    Thanks in advance.

    AA,

That Mudman looks real, but it's just a stock image. I don't know anything about the seller.

    It's a nice G-Shock.

Try Amazon if you can buy from there:

  7. Just bought this and was cross referencing it with Amazon. There are some differences between the backs, but could you confirm that this is real or not? Figured it was possible that Casio had different engravings. Everything else looks identical between the band and the front (lettering and positioning) thanks, Paul

    Its a DW6900-1v

  8. The only other inconsistancy is the stopwatch has an extra odd shaped zero in the front.

Does Casio actually make any G-Shocks in China? Both mine say "Made In Thailand".

Here's a pic of my GW700A case back:

Yes, Casio makes G-Shocks in China now. Thailand, Korea, Malaysia and Japan too.

Well, that's too bad, cuz now the knock-off artists are gonna have easy access to knowledge, information and skill to make their fakes.

    aybeezwife,

I took a look at a few of them. They look like real G-Shocks with the original bezels replaced with custom bling ones. It looks like the seller is in Hong Kong. I would be more concerned about the quality of the custom work at those prices. You won't really know for sure until you examine it in person. There's lots of crappy ones out there for a full range of prices. And it's hard to really tell from those photos.

    Murkz,

That looks like a Club G, which is not technically a G-Shock. I'd stay away from that spammy looking site though.

  24. The value of the watches is not governed by its tag value, but rather with its niche & eccentricity. It is also the accessory that emphasizes individual’s style, status, and taste level.

  25. I have a question about my GX56 i just bought. On the backs of all the ones i see they say St. Steel back made in Japan Y.

Mine says St. Steel back made in Thailand Y. That doesn't mean its fake, does it?

Also my can isn't the round one like the ones i see, its a black stop sign shape.

    ohai,

I have heard that some of the newer GX-56 models are made in Thailand. It's probably fine. And the new hexagonal black tin is normal too.
