restoring dw-5600c help with parts!

  1. Hi, all

I had this watch for over 20 years, my mother bought it for me in the late 80's, still ticking. but as usual the rubber/resin parts are long gone.

I stored the watch for many years and recently I desided to do an online search, I was surprized that parts can still be found. I also found this website with lots of great info.

I would like to restore the watch and have a couple of questions. I did a search on casiosalesandservice and the ezel, bands, and 4 screws is $52 don't know about shipping. parts also available on e-bay. $17 for the bands and $17.50 for the bezel, didn't see the screws. Are these the best prices I can do? what about the screws, casiosalesandservice wants $12 for 4 screws.

    Thanks in advance

It's usually best to order parts directly from Casio. Casiosalesand service are great, but they might not have the best prices.

  3. Thanks riley,

I emailed parts@casio.com and had a reply within a few hours, The only part they have is the O-ring, This was their reply:
    "Good afternoon,

The bezel, band, and bezel screws are all no longer available. We do
have the o rings.. part number is 74206244 and is $.50 each. If you wish
to order please contact us at the telephone number below. "

I guess my other option is ebay! "Casio sales and service" is different from casio? should I check with them?

Yes, it sounds like your best bet is to check with other parts dealers.

  5. http://www.casiosalesandservice.com wants $19 for the bands, and $16 for the bezel. They seem to have the 4 screws for $12 + $4 shipping, that's $4 per screw...What are they made of? gold?

I'll try ebay for the bezel and band, but the screws can wait for now.

Those prices aren't too surprising. I wish Casio parts were less. Lots of them are surprisingly expensive, and resellers will only add to the cost.
