Does anyone know what the story is around not being able to ship items with Lithium ion batteries from Japan?

That's news to me. I've never had a problem ordering G-Shocks from Japan. Maybe this would just be for laptops or something.

No, a seller on eBay from Japan that has shipped me a few g-shocks via EMS has now said that he won't ship them any longer unless he removes the battery. Apparently a new rule in Japan

I just ordered a couple watches from a dealer in Japan no problem. I would just try another seller. If this is an official regulation, it seems like something easily ignored. The watch community at large would be making a big stink about this if it was truly a problem.

I hope this doesn't become a problem. I still haven't heard many people complaining about this. Maybe only certain dealers are complying with this rule?
